The first book in a new urban fantasy series is a thrilling action packed read. Once a crime fighter, now a vigilante, Verity Fortune is consumed with one burning desire revenge against those who took away her mask, her memory and nearly her life.

This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, action and drama. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and inspire vivid images that make the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and keep it the very end.

There are hints of romance and passion in the book, but the story focuses on Verity and her enemies. There is lots of well orchestrated actions scenes that are exciting and believable, tension building suspense as Verity tries to uncover the truth about what happened and who is behind it, betrayals and lots of emotional drama and turmoil. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story and all the surprising twists and turns keep the reader guessing about what comes next and the reader can’t help but be shocked by the answers that Verity uncovers.

This series promises to be exciting and fun with captivating super heroes and villains to keep the reader intrigued and coming back for more. The story is full of violence and mayhem, but also the emotional turmoil and confusion of the heroine. I was totally caught up in the story and I can’t wait to read the next one, however I do recommend that the book be read when the reader can devout all their attention to it, not only because they won’t want to put it down once they start reading it, but because due to Verity circumstances the reader could become confused if they are not paying attention.
